When I lived in Phoenix, I craved the seasonal lifestyle of Minnesota. The beautiful and sometimes cruel cycle of nature is always a reminder to me that seasons come and go. That life is a cycle of snow and frost, sun and bloom. To experience the drastic transformations of your environment, to observe a once frozen tundra become abundant with life and greenery is not something for the light-hearted. Yet two years later, here I am, living once again in the desert.
I am 20-something-year-old learning to love what I do not understand, (desert included).
